Love the way you have styled all six looks Rachel. A white shirt is a must have in your wardrobe. My favourite way to style a white shirt is to wear it under a fitted vest of fitted jumper. I like to have the white shirt "framing" the coloured vest or jumper, so will have the shirt peeking out from the bottom, and if I have a jumper on, the cuffs coming out of the sleeves.
ReplyDeleteGreat styling! I am such a dag, I don't even have a white shirt these days! I used to wear them, with a jumper over the top, tails sticking out, black pants and big boots. That was 15 years ago. Then for awhile, when you couldn't get many good breastfeeding tops, I just used a white button up shirt, because it went with everything.
ReplyDeleteLove it- so versatile. I've been searching for the "right" white shirt for ages, decent quality, weighted fabric, not too sheer and still fluid moving. Well done- I'll check it out. Cheers, Ellie x
ReplyDeleteWhite shirts have been a staple in my wardrobe since I was a Myer chick at uni! I wear mine under jackets and cardigans, over a black pencil skirt or jeans, and accessorise with scarves or necklaces. My white shirts are the hardest working items in my wardrobe :)
ReplyDeleteI love a crisp white shirt with jeans, and I often add a skinny black belt around my waist (over the shirt).
ReplyDeleteWow, what a fabulous set of looks you've created and I love your photography too. I must be one of the only people ever in the history of fashion and quite possibly the universe who doesn't like a classic white shirt. I always feel like a waiter and as my boobs are bigger than the rest of me, I often have trouble finding a good fit, so I look like a pervy waiter!
ReplyDeleteHowever, you've given me some fabulous ideas here. La la love the rock chick look - it's rock AND chic and I reckon I could pull that off. The scarf would disguise boob gape - which would so work with rock chick anyway! ;)
Also, I can't believe I never thought of wearing a jumper over a shirt like that. Such a fabulous idea and it would disguise boob gape too. So Frenchy, so chic!
Rachel, you might have just converted me to the delights of a white shirt! Now, that is a fashion miracle! :)
I love "The Movie" look.
ReplyDeleteMy 'classic' white shirt dies last month and I cannot believe how much I am missing it. I wore it ALL the time. I'm having trouble finding on to replace it!
Oh boy, I do not own a white button up shirt... I have meant to buy one, but, like Kim-Marie said - I have gapage AND I have been a waiter in a white shirt.
ReplyDeleteI will have to find a really nice one and then steal some of your ideas.
Great post! Love, love, love the Movies look.
I wear my white shirt loosely over my pants and jeans and always finish it off with a bright scarf tied loosely around my neck.
ReplyDeleteLove all the looks Rachel, and I especially love seeing one piece worn lots of different ways.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a white shirt, but I'd love one ;) The casual look is perfect for me!
I don't think you can underestimate the simplicity of a white (or black for that matter) top with jeans. Just a simple elegance is what I'm looking for :)
ReplyDeleteI'm on the hunt for the perfect white shirt for a do I'm going to in May. I want to team it with a pair of skinny black jeans and a wicked pair of sky high leopard print, gold spiked pumps that I have on lay buy.
ReplyDeleteLooking fab Rachel! Love the red lippy.
Great pics, I used to have 3 white shirts that I used to LIVE in when I worked in the corporate world!
ReplyDeleteGreat looks Rachel, you just can't beat a simple white shirt.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a white shirt is there! I like to wear one with a soft knit vest over the top in a pretty colour; add a pencil skirt or pants and it's perfect office wear :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rach.. I feel inspired to buy an adult piece of clothing instead of going for fads x Sami
ReplyDeleteI love to wear a white shirt with a pair of comfy jeans!!! I love the classic look!

I love to wear a white shirt with a black mini, opaque tights, a pair of knee high boots and a skinny tie.
ReplyDeleteI love a white shirt, sleeves rolled up, worn with white or navy shorts, a great belt, and a chunky statement necklace in summer. Worn with ballet flats or sandals, this outfit always puts me in a casual, coastal kind of mood!
ReplyDeleteLove beautiful white shirts! They are one of those ultimate fashion items that everyone should own and which look good in every situation. My favourite way to wear a white shirt is with my favourite going-out jeans and a classic black blazer. Comfortable, effortless, always looks good. But evern better, I can then wear my craziest, brightest, biggest accessories and heals to jazz the outfit up. Stylish and fun at the same time.
