Fast forward to a week ago, my husband handed me a prettily, wrapped present. I unwrapped it and what do you know...this shiny, smooth device was sitting inside. I must admit, I was a little surprised and curious. I politely said thank you and then hid it high in my bathroom cupboard.
My husband enquired a few times over the course of the week if I had given it a whirl. "No babe, but I will"
This afternoon, while the girls were watching TV, I snuck upstairs and unwrapped the gift again. I thought 'Why not', 'Other people have done this' etc, etc, etc.
I hope the buzzing, humming sound wouldn't call the girls upstairs.
OH MY FREAKIN' GOODNESS!!!!!
The girls came running because of my screams. I didn't mean to be so loud but I couldn't help it.
Anyone that thinks this is a great way to remove hair is insane!

PS: If you decided to give it a whirl, don't start with your bikini line.
LOL! Yeah...you should've started with your legs and at the lowest speed. I've got one, and now am used to the higher speed...NOT on my bikini line though - EVER! OUCH!
ReplyDeleteWhen I am brave enough to go again, I'll look for the speed options. x
DeleteOh, yes, I had one of those. Pain like no other!
ReplyDeleteYou are one funny thing girl friend... I love your way with words! Hahaha - had me CRINGING!
Thanks B x
DeleteHaha love it. I did guess where you were going with it, though! I have never experienced that pain, but my Mum has. Put me off for life!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great mother then. I should have tried it on my mother first. x
DeleteLol luv it! Charge it to his mind not his heart! He'll know next time!
ReplyDeleteHe is usually really good with the gift buying x
DeleteI was gifted an epilady once, it was re gifted, the pain was ouch to the max
ReplyDeleteYet they are still being made and people are buying :)
DeleteFunny post! I begged and pleaded for an Epilady once, and when I finally got one I used it for approximately 3 seconds, then put it back in the box.

Not sure I would want one as a present but I do have one and I like it. Sure it makes me want to cry but saves me heaps of money and having to show my bits to the beautician. I can't cope with doing my legs though waaaay too painful.
ReplyDeleteNever gone there. Based on this post and comments, never will!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the Friends episode with 'Waxine'. How do they make it pain-free? Organic substances recently discovered in the depths of the rainforest! OF COURSE!
Haha - yes, I have one of these but NO, I would most certainly not use it on the bikini line. Sheesh! I usually have a glass of wine (or two) before using it ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I have felt your pain. I stupidly tried it over and over again expecting the pain to lessen, but it did not. I decided to go back to the old fashion way and do it more often :)
