Your shoes and 7 things they say about you

Your shoes are saying things about you whether you like it or not.

I recently read a little piece in the Sunday Mail about what "What your shoes say about you"

"...Like your shoes to look new and well-kept? You're more likely to be clingy in your relationships, while fans of ankle boots tend to be more aggressive say researches. A study of college students from the US found that strangers could accurately assess a personal's level of 'attachment anxiety' from the shoe, as well as their age and income..."
I am going to take this one step further (notice the pun) and I have no research to back up anything I say.

What your shoes are saying about you:

1. If they are wearing Running shoes, they are going to run away. Don't try to hold them back, let them go and if they come back they are yours;
2. If they are wearing slippers or ugg boots outside the house. Take care, they may be sleep walking. If they aren't, then this is your turn to run;
3. She will only wear flats shoes. Check she isn't married to a short Scientologist;
4. Only movie stars wear heels 2 sizes too large. If it looks ridiculous on them, it's going to look even worse on you;
5. Some people walk with their heels over the edges of their thongs? I usually see them in food courts and they always have dirty, cracked heels. Who is a fault, the thong or the wearer?;
6. The Sunday Mail thinks ankle boot wearers are aggressive. They should see me in my Doc Martins; and
7. If they are barefoot, walking out of Starbucks, braless and on high beam. Check it might be Britney Spears.

Look at your shoes right now, what are they saying about you?

Like a kid in a candy store...

I am a shoe lover but I have been walking past Sutton Street Shoes every Saturday on my way to get groceries and I haven't stopped. I guess I assumed that I wasn't the target market. They specialise in 'comfy' brands and orthotic fitting styles.

I decided to stop by yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. I found quite a few pairs of comfy shoes that  I would love to own.

I love a Mary Jane. These are from Ziera. The comfortable heel that you could wear all day.
 Taupe Hush Puppies booties. I think they would look great with skinny jeans
I love these Ecco black walking shoes. Sunday morning walk to the Redcliffe Markets with the family.
I also found this scarf that I wanted to keep but I was a good girl and put back. I may have to go back for it.
Sutton Street shoes is located in Bluewater.

Boots!!

I love winter because I get to break out my boot collection. I have had many of these boots for years and years. I have also inherited a few from my awesome aunt. It really pays to have a family member that is fashionable, generous and similar sized.

My boot collection may look extravagant to some and terribly lacking to others. I have searched high and low for bargains, begged, eaten noodles and then forced myself to wear them over and over to make sure each pair gets great cost-per-wear. I have made a few mistakes, but for every mistake there is an amazing pair of boots that more than make up for the others disappointment.

Also, a lifetime ago, I worked casually a beautiful shoe shop. That year I didn't take home a cent, it all went straight onto shoes.

These are my long boots. I don't own any over the knee boots. I think they would make my legs look way too short and be completely impractical for a busy mum
These are my cowboy inspired boots.
 Short booties. I love booties because they look great with dresses and tights and also under jeans.
I would hate to think what my collection would be like if I lived in Victoria instead of Queensland.
