I have been whisked away to a tropical island and I like to think I pack light(ish). So what do I take?
Daytime: I only wear sunscreen, sunglasses and lip balm. Plus, Garnier BB for combination to oily skin just in case.
Night time: I prefer to go light on the makeup but I like to be prepared. I can create almost any look with this collection.
Arbonne Perfecting liquid Foundation, Makellos eye primer, Clinque eye shadow duo in Strawberry Fudge, Maybelline Turbo boost mascara in Black, Mirenesse eyeliner in Black, Revlon colourstay eyebrow liner Blonde, MAC blush Dainty, Napoleon Pro palette correct & conceal, Chanel Rouge allure Emoi, Lucas' Pawpaw ointment and a soft brush.
Plus a gorgeous perfume.
Done and ready to hit the town.
What does travelling light mean to my husband?
How are you at travelling light?
On Tuesdays I link up with Essentially Jess
is it bad to admit i travel light like your husband... errrrm....
ReplyDeleteHaha, not bad at all.
DeleteOh that is funny! I use that BB cream, with a bit of powder, mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow. -Always- forget lipstick. I never can find one I like lying around so I dont bother.
ReplyDelete#teamIBOT ;)
I almost always leave off the lipstick too. I throw on a gloss at the last minute because I don't need a mirror for it :)
DeleteAlways travel light. Years of having to travel for work was a training ground for being able to do this.
ReplyDeleteI have just completed a post about the 2kool4skool pack - THANKYOU.
I am so thrilled you won and shared it with some underprivileged children. I am sure you have started their year off on a high note. Rachel xx
DeleteI just bought that BB cream yesterday and have to say I am mighty impressed with it.
ReplyDeleteMy essentials are mascara, my Natural Glow powder/bronzer, and my favourite Natio lip glow, No 5.
It's a great BB that one. I'll have to hunt down that lip glow and check it out x
DeleteI'm your brand of travelling light!
ReplyDeleteYou would have a fantastic travelling kit x
DeleteGreat tips Rachel. I love peeking into others make-up bags. I have just returned from a holiday to Sri Lanka and purchased the Garnier BB to take with me, unfortunately I had a horrible reaction to it. Very annoying because I actually loved the texture and coverage, so now on the hunt for a new BB cream.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I hope you recovered quickly x
DeleteMen have it so easy, don't they? I love make up, it's an instant mood lifter, a confidence booster, drab to fab in minutes. And that pic of you is totally hot girl!
ReplyDeleteMen have it way too easy but I would much prefer to be able to play with the makeup for all the reasons you said :)
DeleteLove Garnier BB Cream, it's become a daily essential for me. My SIL bought the Aldi BB cream and says it's just as good, and there was a blogger who said the Loreal one was best. Hmm... perhaps a review of BB creams is in order! Love your work, as always xx
ReplyDeleteI haven't even heard of the Aldi one. I don't get there too often but I might make a trip just for it x
DeleteWith all the travel I have been doing I learned to pack light. At the start, I use to try to take every single piece of clothe with me and then I have learned that first, I never get to wear everything I bring and second, I can always buy from where ever I am. Make up is a bit more tricky. If you are use to a brand, it's what you need to have with you. It's hard to compromise on that.
ReplyDeleteI agree, you don't want to compromise your makeup. It takes so long to find what you like in your everyday makeup and it would be too hard to recreate. Rachel x
DeleteYour last pic made me chuckle! I like your makeup kit. I love a soft, natural look too and maybe need to explore your kit. I am terrible at beauty stuff. I just learnt on the go, preferring not to experiment when young because I was a tomboy. So even though I'm in my ahem, 40s, I still feel quite clueless!
ReplyDeleteYou are gorgeous and wouldn't need much makeup anyway. You are very lucky! Rachel x
