When I was little we called wrinkles 'crinkles'. I am going to stick with it because it certainly makes them sound cuter. I have no problem with ageing. I don't even mind crinkles as long as they are happy crinkles. I also don't mind slowing down ageing just a little when an opportunity drops into my lap.
I have been sent two products from John Plunkett Pharmaceuticals to trial. I have been using them for a week but the best results are after using them for a few months. So, my thoughts so far...
Advanced Collagen Lift Moisturiser usually $59.95 but currently $54.95. I have sensitive skin and it is prone to breakouts if I use anything except very light moisturisers. When I saw the thickness I was a little concerned but I haven't broken out. What I really like about this is the matt finish it gives to my skin after application. My skin feels nice and doesn't look shiny. I do feel that any crinkles have been lessened. It could be my imagination, but I chose to believe it is this product working some magic. I really look forward to seeing the results in a few more weeks or months.
Instant Wrinkle Filler usually $39.95 but currently $34.95. I have been using this in my crinkles after the Advanced Collagen Lift Moisturiser. This also has a nice matt finish. It didn't fill in all my crinkles but certainly minimised them. I can tell that makeup isn't gathering in places it shouldn't. This really does create a nicer base for makeup and my makeup was lasting longer. This has made it into my 'must use' makeup bag.

I really look forward to seeing the results in a few months. I think there is still a chance I may be asked to show my I.D. to prove I am over 18 again. Even if I have to beg them to ask.
I have not receive any payment to review this product. I am happy to receive payment but I will always give an honest opinion.
On Tuesdays I link up with Diary of a SAHM
They sound like gorgeous products! I'm still dealing with breakouts so haven't looked to closely for crinkles yet. I'm probably in crinkle-denial. Is there a cream for that? ;P
ReplyDeleteBreakout are good, the delay the crinkles. I have been in crinkle-denial too. Hmm, the cream. No but I have been using Gin and Tonic and a filter on my camera. :) Thanks for commenting. Rache xx
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of calling them crinkles :) . This is a very good review, and the fact the products sit well under make up is a big plus for me. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I have found a few that would pill under makeup, I like that this doesn't. Have a great week. Rachel x
DeleteThey look like good products. I am soooooo lazy when it comes to my skin. I really should start a regime that doesn't include going to bed with makeup on and washing my face with soap!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am too old to be lazy now lol. But I must admit that I reach for the soap sometimes too. Rx
DeleteNobody wants to see my ID. I offer but they laugh at me!
ReplyDeleteI won't laugh if you offer to show me :) Rachel x
DeleteIn the nt you have to show ID when you purchase alcohol, to,prove you are not on the 'banned' drinker list. I pretend it's because they think I look to young.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'm too crinkly at the moment; ask me in a couple of years.
I'm not sure if we have a banned drinkers list in Qld. Well, if we do it appears that I'm not on it. Score. Rachel x
DeleteA few years ago I got "carded" while ordering a Mai Tai in Hawaii. I couldn't believe it! I have my mums genes to thank for that one ;)
ReplyDeleteExcellent, thanks mum!! I am jealous both of the Mai Tai and the youthful genes. :) Rx
DeleteI much prefer the word crinkles to wrinkles. I'm okay with aging. I think. But I would like to find a good cream to delay it a little!
ReplyDeleteI am completely ok with ageing, but I may change my mind pretty soon. I was getting my hair cut and the mirror was not working for me. :) Rachel x
DeleteI love the word "crinkles". I haven't been "carded" recently (or even less-recently), but I don't think I have too many crinkles.. more likely the bags under my eyes giving away my motherhood status (and therefore also my approximate age).
ReplyDeleteThe bags could signify that you are a uni student and only just old enough to drink. :)
DeleteCrinkles do sound much cuter! What I want to see is products with some sort of reminder alert - I always forget to apply creams and what not after the first couple of days! I see many crinkles in my future!
ReplyDeleteYes, a reminder alert. What a great idea!! It might just make them a we bit more expensive though. That reminds me, I haven't put anything on this morning. Better do it now. Rxx
