My Daily blogging schedule

Previously, I have shared my weekly blogging schedule but what about my daily schedule. This is my Monday to Friday schedule. I do blog on weekends but it isn't as structured.
5am
Bright eyed and frizzy haired, I reach for my MacBook, check overnight emails, reply, check twitter interactions and respond.

5.30am
My scheduled post should be live. I'll reduce URL of the post in bitly and share on twitter. Then open Buffer and schedule basic tweets for the day. Then share new post on Facebook.

6am
If you participate in any linkys, link up now. It's best to get in early.

6.30am - 9am
Breakfast, children wrangling and school run

9.30am - 10am
Visit my favourite blogs, read and comment
Visit link ups, visit and comment
Check Facebook

The following activities must get worked into whatever else I have on for the day. They always get done but not in any particular order or time:
  • Write new posts;
  • Write any other pieces I have agreed to;
  • Spend time learning something new: Currently it's Photoshop CS6. I think I'll be stuck on this for a while;
  • Read bloggy blogs. These are ones that provide information to help improve my blogging;
  • Respond to any comments I have received on my posts;
  • Review products or movies;
  • Continue to check in on Twitter and Facebook. Buffer doesn't make up for your real presence;
  • Respond to emails. Delete spam;
  • Work on 'the bigger picture'. Whatever that may be. Improving media kits, emailing PR, talking to advertisers etc; and
  • Schedule a post to go live at 5.30am the next day. In a perfect world, my posts would be schedule much further in advance. Maybe that can be my new years resolution.
How is your daily blogging schedule? Similar to mine?

  3. I get up at 6 to post or write. 2 days I write during the day but got my daughter home for the rest of the week so no go. Will write articles or blog posts when out and about if the mood takes me in a notebook for later typing / editing...twitter/fb is totally random. I need to focus a bit more. Thanks for the tips!

  4. Awake at 5am!!! Must admit since I started working from home, one of the benefits is being able to get up later - 7.30 or so - we don't even have to set the alarm anymore :-)

    For the last couple of weeks I have been posting each weekday, which has been not as hard as I thought. Having a bit of a break this week and then back to it for 2013!

    1. We don't set an alarm either. We all just wake up ridiculously early. Rachel x

  5. We are awake early but with 2 toddlers and a baby -i find its easier to do all blog posts etc at night. I do struggle to keep up with the social networking side of things. Your post does give me good ideas on how to improve and be more organised. Thanks!

    1. It is hard to be everywhere at once. If I am really busy, I'll just focus on one medium at a time. Rachel x

  7. I love that other people are so organised.

    I am pretty much on top of my daily schedule, but still find distractions so easily!

    Perhaps because I don't blog (yet) I didn't know about Buffer ~ fantastic! Thank you. Is there anything similar to scheduled Instgram posts? Kx

    2. Thanks. Perhaps it defeats the purpose of Instagram :)

    1. I usually go to bed about 9.30pm but don't sleep until about 10.30pm. I like to watch shows on my iPad :)

  10. This is great - thank Rachel. The majority of my blogging is done at night, but I will definitely look into buffer to help a bit while I'm at work or busy with the small ones.
