Cavalia - The raising of the Big Top

I have had such a great morning. Kath Rose & Associates invited Redcliffe Style to attend the Cavalia Big Top raising. I am such a dork and I was very excited. This show is massive. It involves 50 horse and 42 riders, aerialists, acrobats, dancers and musicians. It also includes a 50 metre stage with a 60 metre-wide screen. You can imagine how huge the tent needs to be.
This was the first time ever that this tent has been raised. Ten stories high and spanning more than 2,440 square metres. It is the largest touring tent in the world and takes a crew of 50 people to set it up.
The crew
This is Normand Latourelle, he is the founder of Cavalia.
This show will be amazing. If you haven't already bought tickets, then get onto it because you will be so jealous when I write about it.

The horses will actually be bigger than this one.

This is not a sponsored post. I have not received payment or goods

My favourite self imposed rule

I have a habit of making silly rules for myself and then sticking with them. Once they are made, they can not be broken.

A few of my rules are:

  • I must always finish a run on the kilometre mark. It can be 10km, 12km but never 10.2km or 11.7km. Nice round numbers
  • Never leave the house without a spritz of perfume
  • Cover your ears when going to sleep. Even with a few strands of hair. This will stop creepy crawlies from discovering a new home.
  • If undies are uncomfortable, throw them out immediately

But my favourite self imposed rule is:
  • Whenever you receive a Myer Voucher it must go towards a new Chanel lipstick or gloss. Myer sent me my voucher this week, so of course I had no choice but scamper immediately to the Chanel counter and play with all the colours on the back of my hand. I'm pretty thrilled with my new addition, Rouge Allure in Exces.

Do you ever make a rules for yourself?
