Some hotels have funny rules

This weekend we stayed at the Sofitel Hotel in Sydney. While I was looking for note paper to take to Blogopolis I noticed grooves on the page from a previous note.
Being a snoopy, nosey, amateur detective I decided to work out what the note said. I hunted down a lead pencil and began to carefully shaded over the grooves...
and magically a message started to appear...
and it read...

"Guests are required to wear clothes when in the hallway"

Damn!! I wish I had of know when we booked that they were so weird about things like that (I am joking but the note is real).

I am assuming this must have been left by housekeeping for the previous nudists that accommodated the room. I wish I knew about them earlier. It's a little gross knowing that besides running nude through the halls, they probably sat nude on chairs, leaned nude on the table, made coffee nude etc.

PS: I am joining up for Wordless Wednesday at My Little Drummer Boys

  2. That's so funny!!!

My first job was cleaning hotel rooms. YIKES! One family kept shoving their baby diapers under the mattress. I was thinking, "WHY?" There was 3 trash cans in there.

  7. You should have torn the page off and rewritten another sleuth style note for the next Sherlock to discover. Maybe mention redcliffe style in it?? :)

  8. I wouldn't have thought to try the 'lead pencil on the indentations' trick. Nice work! Perhaps it was written as a joke... the idea of a nude person sitting on a chair before you is a bit horrifying isn't it. Yuck

    1. If it was a joke, they probably would have left the original note - right? I hate the idea of a naked butt on the chairs.

  9. Great detective work. And yeah, not sure which is worse, the thought of nude people on the furniture or the dirty diapers mentioned above.

  18. oh my goodness I really lol'ed out loud. As I read my mind was imagining what it might be but I admit to NOT guessing that answer! Thank goodness for your blog or I would have lived my entire life not knowing these shenanigans actually went on. I poke my head out the door first to check the hallways each time now before letting my children leave the hotel room (and husband ;)
