Run, run, run

I had the most excellent run along the waterfront this morning.  Great weather, a nice pace, a beautiful view and I got into the zone. You know the zone, the one when you pretend you are P!nk. 10 kilometres and I think I could have kept on going. But, reality called and I had to get back to get the girls ready for school.
I felt great after my run. It's like all the crap clogging up my head has been was blown away. My to-do list is going to be my b!tch today.

What gets your head in the right place?

My running playlist was full of strong (maybe slightly angry) women - it was perfect:
  1. I don't believe you - P!nk
  2. Shake your Pom Pom - Missy Elliot
  3. There you you - P!nk
  4. Hips Don't lie - Shakira
  5. Blow Me - P!nk
  6. Murder on the Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis-Bextor
  7. Raise your glass - P!nk
  8. Trick Me - Kellis
  9. Just like a Pill - P!nk
  10. When I grow up - Pussycat Dolls
  11. I never liked you - Rogue Traders
  12. So What! - P!nk
  13. Here I come - Fergie

  1. There goes that Photobombing Pooch again! So cute.

I took my headphones to work and listened to emo vampire soundtracks. Worked a treat!

  4. Running rocks my world. If I've ever got to do some heavy duty work, especially if I'm tired, I run ... Along the waterfront to because running somewhere beautiful, in nature is even better? When I finish my mind is fresh and buzzing , and I feel completely alive! Yay for running.

    1. The waterfront makes it even better. I always end up with a crazy smile on my face because the view makes it. Rx

  5. I used to always have Pink on my gym workout soundtrack! She had a lot to do with me losing some serious weight and getting fit, so I think she rocks :) (Although it may be time to start listening again...)

  7. I love running! Unfortuntaly cause of my ridiculous ankle injury I'm not allowed to at the moment, but I'm giving my exercise bike an awesome work out.
    Also, who doesn't love Pink?

  9. I've never been much of a runner, my knees just didn't allow it, and especially now after having Mia (I think I would be knocked out by my ample bosom if I attempted it now!), but I have gotten back into walking on the treadmill of a night once the munchkin is in bed and I am at the point now where I've been back in to it long enough to look forward to it! No matter how good or bad the day has been I find it's the perfect way for me to unwind and get in some catch-up tv(the treadmill is in the loungeroom, in front of the box!)

    1. I have a treadmill in front of my TV too. Sometimes you really need the distraction of a good show. Rx

    1. Drawing is a great one. I use to paint and get into the zone. It's too hard around kids. Rachel x

  12. I would love to be a runner, but I just am not. My place is in my book of days, that's where I can rid myself of the crap and feel renewed

  13. Oh I've always wished I could run, my sister has this beautiful gait like a gazelle... I'm more like an elephant, clumsy, chubby and awkward. I miss step though, pour me into a straitjacket sports bra and point me at some steps and I could mindlessly go for hours.

    1. Step is awesome exercise and takes plenty of co-ordination. You can't be too clumsy then. I love step and often find it harder than running. I wonder why that is? Rx

  14. Yes, love the playlist, showed it to my teen girls and they have them all so I will put it together to play on my walks with my faithful boy (dog) and I will rip up the pace. Just went back to the gym and I love my sore muscles and the focus I have whilst there.
Running, not in my repertoire but I would love to have the feeling you describe

  15. I'm not a runner... but I am a fast walker! Aided by long legs. A brisk walk in the fresh air clears my head, luck for me I live in a bushland suburb so there is always somewhere nice to walk... just never enough time!
