Cavalia - The raising of the Big Top

I have had such a great morning. Kath Rose & Associates invited Redcliffe Style to attend the Cavalia Big Top raising. I am such a dork and I was very excited. This show is massive. It involves 50 horse and 42 riders, aerialists, acrobats, dancers and musicians. It also includes a 50 metre stage with a 60 metre-wide screen. You can imagine how huge the tent needs to be.
This was the first time ever that this tent has been raised. Ten stories high and spanning more than 2,440 square metres. It is the largest touring tent in the world and takes a crew of 50 people to set it up.
The crew
This is Normand Latourelle, he is the founder of Cavalia.
This show will be amazing. If you haven't already bought tickets, then get onto it because you will be so jealous when I write about it.

The horses will actually be bigger than this one.

This is not a sponsored post. I have not received payment or goods

  2. Ooh! Reminds me of my days working for Cirque du Soleil. No I wasn't an acrobat, I was merely a popcorn and champers purveyor. But I like to tell people I was part of the show haha!

  6. Sounds amazing. Be careful, don't get too attached or you might be tempted to run away with the circus.
