10 Things I couldn't do if I lost my phone

The iPhone has been around for a few years now and in that time it has made itself indispensable to me. I think this could become a problem. If I lost my phone, I wouldn't....
  1. Know how to contact people. I use to remember important numbers but I don't try to memorise them anymore. I still don't know my husband's number but for some reason my thumb does. It can make the moves without thinking. At least I would have them in the computer when I got home.
  2. Do maths. I whip out the calculator for some pretty basic sums. In the past, I called myself the human calculator. Now I just call myself the human that carries a calculator.
  3. Know my schedule and appointments. Everything is immediately put into the calendar and I set two reminders. Then completely forget about them until the first reminder.
  4. Drive into new areas. Whereis directs me everywhere. I have her use the Dame Edna voice and I would drive around in circles blinded by tears without her.
  5. Know the date and time. I never wear a watch anymore.
  6. Take photos of myself doing really boring things, filter and frame them and then share them with everyone.
  7. Walk in the dark. It is a beacon of safety with it's glowing screen.
  8. Know what is going on in the world. Twitter keeps me up-to-date with breaking news, the latest makeup products and what colours I should be wearing.
  9. Know how well some people plate up, scrub up, step up, kids grow up and clean up in Instagram.
  10. Find people in shopping centres. How on earth did people use to do it?
Do you use your phone for everything too?

  3. All of the above! Plus, I use it for keeping myself sane whilst getting the 2 year yr old to bed at night (sitting in his room until he goes to sleep)

  4. I can;t imagine not having my phone. I can't figure out how I ever used to meet up with people as a teenager. Surely its impossible without a phone

  5. Yep, I would be rendered totally useless without my iPhone. If I ever leave it at home, I must confess I go back for it, even if it means I will be late. My fave is walk in the dark...sounds like me!!

  6. I use mine to track my babies feeding, nappy changes, sleeps, baths (how many days ago was the last one? lol), so I would be totally lost without it!

  8. I can so relate to this, and maybe I should write down numbers now in case one day I lose my phone! I simply can imagine how we used to get along as teenagers without phones, but we did (well I did, perhaps I'm showing my age here :)

  9. That is SO me, just upgraded from iphone 4 to 5 and absolutely panicked that my contacts would not transfer over, as I do not know a single one of them off by heart, I just press buttons and call, like it that way!

  13. I'd have to make much more effort to be on time to places if I couldn't ring/text people to let them know I'm running 10 minutes late. The phone number things is a worry though - I used to memorise the important ones too. Now my phone is my brain!
