10 More things that are annoying about facebook

My sister and I had so much fun writing the first post, 10 things that are annoying on facebook and many, many people were keen to share their annoyances that we needed a part 2. So here are some of the gems people suggested.

1. The game player. This is the person that is always inviting you to join a game and is always sharing photos of their game. If your first invitation wasn't accepted, then your next two probably won't be either;
2. The Frustrated Arteeeest. This person takes their personal profile picture very seriously. Arty poses, photoshopping, soft focus etc or the other extreme, they share every blurry repetitive photo they have ever taken;
3. The Poet. The Poet likes to share soppy poems or cutesy pictures. Maybe you're more sensitive than most people or maybe our hearts are made of stone but this one made us giggle;
4. The fisherman. This person is always fishing for compliments. Posting photos of themselves in bikini or flexing "I'm so fat", "I need to bulk up" or  "Having an ugly day" etc. It's nice to give compliments but you don't want to be forced. There is no joy in giving a forced compliment;
5. The de-friender. Announces that they are culling their friend list. What do they want you to do? Beg to stay on it. We say, get in first. Cull the culler before they have the chance to cut you. Just like getting in quick when you know you are about to be dumped;
6. The Bean spiller. Not your secret to share. "Wow, I so happy for shaz and wozza, a baby on the way haha no more sleep for you" (Oh, sorry you hadn't told the family) "I am so glad Tim has found a man to share his life with" (Oh, your not out of the closet, sorry). You get the point;
7. The drama queen. It's hard to believe that someone can live with all this stress and drama constantly. Lives are normally full of highs and lows and this person seems only to have extremes;
8.  The checker innerer. They would check in to the toilet if they could.  "Blah Blah was with a roll of toilet paper at The toilet".  Don't forget to attach the instagram photo"
9. The Spell checker rebel. To, two, too, there, their, they're etc. I know it gets confusing and I get confused too, we all make mistakes and typos but it's important to try to get it right occasionally.
10. The Swearer. 'Youse *****y ***** no wot I ****ing meen, rite ya *******s.

PS: Once again this was all done in fun, but feel free to share your own Facebook annoyances.

On Tuesdays I link up with Diary of a SAHM

  4. Yep! but, although I find all of the above annoying, these are probably the people I 'stalk' the most (especially the drama queens). I just can't look away.

  8. haahhaahahah so good!! We have a Bean Spiller in our mix of friends!! She's been told off enough I think she's finally learned to zip it! Will admit to being the Checker-inner last weekend when we were on holidays. Hubby and I checked in all over Melbourne! I don't do it on a daily basis though, I promise!

  9. Haha I love this! If I receive one more game request I think I will hit my keyboard! And I have one more: The people that feel the need to update 10 times a day every single time their child does something. Yes, I do status updates about my Munchkin, but not every little thing, all day long! Great post!

  11. My sister is extreme. She is either really sick or in love with her boys. That's pretty much very status update you get from her.
    The cullers crack me up. Actually the idea of culling cracks me up. I don't ever really feel the need!

  12. Very funny, and so true! I can name one person for each of these! You know I like a well placed swear word but I will block anyone that uses the C*** word constantly, in any variation. You have been warned! :)

    1. I could name a few too. The C word is the worst, immediate dismissal of "friendship"

  14. I don't like the drama queens the most. They tend to flood your newsfeed with, need I say it, drama. Full of ranting, whining, and complaining, etc. I hate it most when they rant about their husbands or boyfriends. WTF, that's YOUR husband, you should be allies in front of the world.

    1. I completely agree, husband and wife should be a united front. Whatever they are thinking about each other should be kept quiet.

  15. Haha you put it in words so well! I hate the Bean Spiller! No wonder I'm getting on fb less often these days and spending more time blogging. Lol. =) Thanks for popping by my blog too!

    1. The bean spiller is pretty bad. I think they like the attention they get from breaking the news. Rxx

  16. Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Don't forget the wannabe foodie who posts every single bloody thing they eat "Just cooked the best bangers and mash EVER. Now ice-cream & ice magic for dessert" Argh!!

    1. They should have entered Masterchef if they are that awesome. They do drive me nuts. You should start sharing your own meals on their page. :) Thanks for commenting. Rachel x

  17. LOL oh so so true. Im really getting over facebook now and the above are definately in my most hated FB annoyances....

    OH... the worst.. is telling me every single meal you eat for the entire day.. and how amazing you are at "cooking" aka chucking something in a hot pot... seriously.... arghhhhh

    my husband is the private defriender - he culls all the time but doesnt tell anyone..

    One type of facebook person I hate is one that comments on almost every post - saying why do you have to let everyone know that? etc... it bugs me and I usually delete their msg.. HIDE MY PROFILE THEN u twit!! :)

    Anyhoos!! good post!!

    1. The private defriender should be respected. Good on your husband!! The constant commenter should get a hobby, maybe playing online games :) They bug me too. Rx

  20. Love this! So true. I have another one, "the carrot dangler" they post something cryptic that hints at some exciting event or news, then never comes back to reply to any inquisitive comments.
