New War Paint

I have a few new additions to my beauty collection that I am loving at the moment.

At the Ingot counter in North Lakes I bought a new eyebrow colour to put into my palette. I love the palettes from Ingot. They are magnetised and currently the small discs of eyeshadow are half price. They are usually $8 but currently $4.
Ojon Damage Reverse Oil $43. I was lucky enough to be sent this from Drop Dead Gorgeous Daily to try. You only need a few drops and your hair sucks it up. My dry ends squealed in delight when I rubbed the warmed oil on them.
I like that it has a dropper and I liked this photo, so I had to use it.
On the weekend Beautiful You was offering 30% off Youngblood so I bought my first Youngblood product. I couldn't resist this blush called Nectar. I usually go for pinks but decided to break away from old habits and try something new, I am completely in love with the natural, girly glow it gives me.
 Mmm, so pretty.
I also picked up some Redken Vinyl Twist from Beautiful You too. This stuff is fantastic, curl defining cream, it's pliable and adds structure and shine. I'll have to do my hair and take a photo for you.
On my wish list, I would love de Leon Cosmetics Lipgloss in Rogue demon hunter and eyeshadow in Indecent Exposure. This eyeshadow is the perfect base colour. I am in love with deLeon products. The colours are great and the textures are beautiful.

Delightful de Leon

Today I have been playing with my de Leon cosmetics.  This business is located in Redcliffe, and if that doesn't make you proud enough, they produce fantastic products, good enough to rival any cosmetics giant in Myer.  I usually buy glosses and I do this because if I leave them in the car, they won't melt.

What I love about the de Leon lip glosses are:
  • Great packaging with fun names, you feel wittier just using them;
  • They are not sticky.  I hate driving in the car with my window down and my glamorous windblown hair stuck to my lips and leaving gloss tracks along my cheeks;
  • They aren't too glossy.  I am not a fan of high gloss, leave that to the Kardashians;
  • No weird taste or odour.  With children and a dog there are enough weird odours around; and
  • Well priced.
I also purchased de Leon's eye primer.  This is completely different to any primer you may have seen before.  It's a thick paste that you dig a little out and it'll melt on the lid and your eye shadow will stay put.  It looks white but goes clear. I then used their eyeshadow #53 Indecent Exposure.  This was a lovely textured, gorgeous nude, the perfect base. Today is a hot day and I have been running around for 5 hours, my eyeshadow is perfect, no creases.

Mild to wild

Occasionally, you come across something so great you wonder how you couldn't possibly already know about it.  While doing my usual trawling the internet for beauty/fashion/blogging/shoes, I came across a new cosmetics page.
I loved the look of the products, so crisp and clean, the playful names, the fantastic colours of eyeshadows and lip products. These are quality mineral products, formulated and hand crafted. I placed many, many items in my cart before realising that I was meant to be Christmas shopping for others and not myself. So after 30 minutes of dreaming and drooling, I decided to drop this company a little email.  They replied and we bounced our messages back and forth and then I discovered that they were located on the PENINSULA!! Only 5 minutes away from me.  Fate brought us together.

Not only are these gorgeous products they are also gluten free and not tested on animals. Gladys, you can test your products on me.  I would be a very happy little guinea pig.

I'll be posting again soon with photos of the gorgeous, fun products on the not so gorgeous but still fun me.
In the meantime, visit this site www.deleoncosmetics.com.au and like them on www.facebook.com/deLeonCosmetics
