Forties Photo Shoot

It was a a lazy Sunday afternoon and my husband had left the building for the day. What else do girls do but play dress up. My fortieth is in 34 days and I am trying to come up with invitation and party ideas. I might not have come any closer to deciding anything but at least we had a fun afternoon.

Have you had a big birthday yet? What cool things did you do?

  2. Love the makeup, you look fantastic! My 30th is next year (!) and I always joked that I'd have a Botox and Champagne Party (a la Real Housewives of Orange County)...either that, or a dress up party where you have to dress up as what you wanted to be when you grew up. Have fun planning! x

  3. Look at you - the pics are great!
The husband turned 40 a few years ago and I surprised him by sending out invitations that were the cover of the Kiss (his fav band) album Dynasty, but with his face photoshopped in to replace Gene Simmons. Hehe. The 80's being his (self proclaimed) heyday, we continued with an 80's theme (including prawn cocktail and West Coast cooler on arrival, brilliant 80's playlist). It's amazing the awesome effort people go to to dress up with a theme!! Am keen to hear what you end up planning for yours.

  6. Love the photo shoot - what fun!!!
I always said that for my 40th I was going to get Mental as Anything to come and play in my back yard. When the time came I was about $12,000 short of being able to afford it BUT they were up in the area playing at the Caboolture Sports Club ....... so ...... we had a sausage sizzle, I chartered a coach and took my party to the band. We had an awesome night and no cleaning up!! Win-Win!!
    Happy planning!! xx
