Potatoes, potatoes, potatoes.

Last month Bauer's Organic farm contacted me to offer me 10kg of organic potatoes. I obviously said yes and then started looking up potato recipes. I was going to have potatoes coming out of my ears. They arrived promptly, just in time for Christmas. I can't tell you what a life saver these were over the Christmas period.

Potato salad, potato bake, jacket potatoes, potato & leek soup, potato chips, mash potatoes, potato curry, double baked potatoes, hasselback potatoes, hash browns. But my favourite by far is...
Roast potatoes. This is my favourite recipe here. It's a family favourite and it nearly always made for dinner parties.

I thought I would have potatoes all the way through until next Christmas but now I'm getting a little low. I think I am going to have to tell everyone I am carb loading. This could be my only excuse for devouring so many potatoes.

What is your go-to-dinner party dish?

Bauer's Organic farms delivers to Ipswich, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba. This isn't a sponsored post because I haven't been paid. I was gifted the potatoes because we met previously and they're just cool that way. They didn't expect me to write but I hope they're happy I did.
I just think this is a fantastic farm, run by great people that know their shit.

  1. Love that roast vegetable recipe - it seems so simple and sounds delish! Can't wait to try it! My go to "people coming over for dinner" meal is Chicken Mignons - chicken thighs (cause they are tastier) with same herbs in the middle and wrapped up in prosciutto and then baked in the oven. They are good because once the are made and in the oven, they require very little attention. Plus they sound flash and are yummo.

  2. I love potatoes! Must be the Dutch in me! I have kind of avoided potatoes over the past few yeas, avoiding the carbs - but - I am really rethinking the way I eat and WHY I eat what I do. Gonna focus on healthier foods and more organic sources.

  3. I love potatoes and I love how you roasted them. It's funny how many potatoes you have for the holidays and now I am trying to get rid of them. This looks like a great idea. I must try it!

    1. Your comment made me giggle because I was thinking the same thing. I even had to look up the spell a few times because I was sure it was wrong
