10 Reasons why I love shoes

There are so many reasons why I love shoes. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a complete shoe lover.  I even worked in a shoe shop briefly and my earnings went straight back to them to pay for my latest love. I am a lot healthier now and my addiction is under control, but shoes still hold a special place in my heart. Here are ten reasons why I love shoes:
  1. Feet don't have fat days. You can have a pimple, greasy hair or a fat day, but your shoes won't let you down. You can go shopping and try shoes on without feeling bad when you look at them in the mirror;
  2. Shoes take a simple outfit from oh-hum to yum;
  3. You look like you have lost 10kg when you put on a pair of heels. You legs will appear longer and you will stand straighter;
  4. They don't take up too much space. If you leave the shoe box at the store, you can easily sneak them into the house and to the back of your wardrobe before your husband has turned to greet you;
  1. They can lift your spirits and make you smile;
  2. They have a purpose. You need a pair to run in, for a certain job, a special occasion or to keep your feet dry. There is always a great reason to buy shoes;
  3. They don't answer back or mess up the house;
  4. They can make you run faster and longer. Well, it certainly works for me whenever I buy new runners;
  5. You don't have to wash them after each wear. Just a gentle, loving wipe and they are good to go; and
  6. Just because.
Do you love shoes? What are your reasons?

  9. I used to have many shoes, now I live in sneakers or boots. I am planning a DFO trip with my tax return to remedy this situation though.

  10. Well you don't have to tell me twice!

    I don't have a huge amount though; jut the basic necessities. In Darwin it's hard to justify too many shoes.

    1. It is a little harder in Darwin, but then you can have havianas (sp?) in every colour. Rx

    2. Oooh, that's a plan for when we move to Port Hedland, havies in every colour!!! I am not really a shoe fan (I know, sacrilege!), but I do really enjoy a nice embellished Haviana :o)

  12. Men so don't get the whole shoes thing. Hubster always wants to know why I need ANOTHER pair of black shoes. Only another woman gets it. (BECAUSE ... this pair has a low heel. This pair is high. These ones are shiny. These ones are casual, and these ones aren't. These ones are boots ... you know how it is!)

    1. They don't get it at all but I do. It's funny, I may have 6 pairs of black shoes but I don't have the perfect pair of black heels. I will one day though. Rxx

  13. I am not really a shoe person. I have my sneakers and my thongs and a pair of closed in flats for winter and that's it. I really love those colourful sneakers they would make me run fast as well

  14. I have only just found a love of shoes. Most of my life I've only had two pairs; work/school shoes and runners. Only this year I bought my first real pair of high heels and I love them but am not very coordinated. My four year old wears them better than I do! I am committed to a shoe collection ;)

  18. I agree!! Except my shoe collection, even after extensive culling, is nearing divorce-inducing levels so I have transferred my addiction to online accessories shopping.... like shoes sparkly things (just about) always fit, immediately life your mood and, unlike shoes, are really really easy to hide form husbands and partners!
