Mother's Day, it's not all about me.

I was going to write a post about Mother's Day and how lucky I am and blah blah blah. Nope, I have changed my mind and I can't do it. Don't get me wrong, I love being a mum and I have wonderful girls but I can't help but think of the women around the world that are struggling to become mums or are struggling with motherhood.

I am hoping and praying for the ladies that ache for children and haven't been able to fulfil this dream yet. I know you can have a full life without children and many people choose this but it would be so hard to want something so desperately, seeing other people do it so easily and not be able to do it yourself. This time of year would be so hard for them. Then there are the ladies that are struggling with motherhood, PND or just finding motherhood hard. Sometimes it doesn't come naturally and children are hard work. I know there have been so many times I have doubted myself and my mothering. I really hope they find the light at the end of the tunnel soon too.

Why can't we call it Women's Day and celebrate all the different journeys we have as women.

  6. Great post Rachel and so incredibly thoughtful. It is so easy to get all caught up in our own good fortune but you are so right, we need to take some time to think of those who are still waiting for their chance to be a mum. xxx
