The Sun is out...

..and the birds are chirping.  What a beautiful start to the day!

I have been so busy with school returning and I am finding it really hard to get back into the rhythm of the school run.  I am usually so organised, extremely punctual and a slightly uptight person but something has happened to me over the school holidays and it's changed me into a slow moving, slightly late, less anxious, more chilled person.  I think I kinda like it.

My house is not as neat,
Dinner is a little later,
The girls are a little dishevelled
The dog is scruffier

But, I smile more,
I have more time to sit with the girls,
play with the dog,
and chat with friends.

I can see a pile of washing and my eye is starting to twitch.  I am not sure how long this chilled version is going to hang out for.

  2. Hello! Nice to meet you through IBOT. I could feel your post, especially the last part about how long you could put off the twitch, I'm the same. My threshhold has been stretched a bit with a husband who lives amongst clutter but every so often, I hit my limit and go into a frenzy of getting some sense of order. And I realise it really is for my peace of mind; it's about how it makes me feel or think or not think clearly, much more than about the physical clutter or lack thereof. Speaking of which, I am getting a bit twitchy myself.

  4. Hi Marita, when does school go back for you? Lucky you are still on holidays and can chill for a little longer. Thanks for visiting and commenting. Rachel xx

Hi Veronia, I'll go and visit you page now. IBOT is great isn't it, we find so many great new blogs. My husband seems to add enough housework to my load by about 3 people. How is that possible? I really appreciate you visiting. Rachel xx

  8. It feels wonderful to chill for a bit doesn't it. I find I tend to go through phases... I chill for a while but then I start to get twitchy about all the disorganisation. I'm working on finding a balance. :)

  9. I am still trying to find rhythm. I love school holidays mostly but I did sit at my computer for a while today and knocked of lots of washing. Everything finds its balance.

  10. I actually love the rhythm of school going back. I find it's so much easier to have a schedule to keep to.
I tend to get more housework done, and find the balance in everything when I'm in routine. It's oddly comforting for me. :)
